Lebron vs. Dwight: Trick Shots

Awhile back I posted a video of Dwight Howard hitting nothing but net while seated on the bench. Superman has become quite the master of these trick shots, rivaling the games best. Now this video of Lebron James hitting a crazy shot in Paris has surfaced, and my question to you is which shot is better?

In my professional opinion, Dwight has Lebron beat. I mean come on thats all you got for us Lebron, a straight up 3 quarter length shot. Please, Dwight could do that in his sleep. Talk to me when you flip into it or something. Nothing against the "King", he is as talented as any on the court, but this by far is not his best.

The first time these two teams meet since Lebron James stormed off the court in late May. Shaquille O'Neal returns to his old stopping grounds, where he broke into the league so many years ago. O'Neal was acquired to match up with all-star center Dwight Howard, who was simply too much for the Cavs to handle in the playoffs. Friday, November 20th @ Boston 8:00 PM TV: ESPN

Orlando's magical run last year almost came to an end with the series against the Celtics which went seven games. This game will look quite different from last year, as Boston was without Kevin Garnett and the Magic were without Jameer Nelson. Newcomers Rasheed Wallace and Vince Carter will look to make an impact in the east race and this game is a good place to start

Friday, December 25th vs. Boston 2:30 PM TV: ABC

A Christmas Day match up, following the Lakers vs. Cavs, that will more than likely be an important game in the standings. Come on, you know you will be tuned in and watching this great game after drinking eggnog and opening presents.

Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson sat and watched as Kobe Bryant and company celebrated after closing out the Magic for the title last year. Orlando gets two shots at revenge during the regular season, and you wont want to miss either of these game. The Magic will also get a look at new Laker Ron Artest.

Jason Williams to the Magic

According to the Associated Press, point guard Jason Williams was acquired by the Orlando Magic. Williams has had a long NBA career including stops in Sacramento, Memphis, and Miami. He was a part of the Pat Riley led Heat during their 2005-2006 title run, and also a part of the 1998-99 All-Rookie first team.

I like this move by the Magic. This adds some depth to the point guard position behind all-star Jameer Nelson and veteran Anthony Johnson. Yes Jason Williams is a bit old, 33, and may not be in the best shape having not played in awhile, but the Magic feel he can contribute. Stan Van Gundy, Williams former coach, believes that he is a similar player to Rafer Alston, who the Magic traded to New Jersey. Williams has some familiarity with the offense, and he can flat out dish the ball. Don't believe me? Go on to youtube and type in "Jason Williams Elbow Pass", and you might change your mind. At worst he doesn't play well, and the Magic just scrap this up as a failed experiment. To win in the playoffs, teams need sparks off the bench. Jason Williams and his crazy assists, just might prove to be that.

Stan Van Gundy thinking about benching Dwight Howard?

After watching this video, I can't help but think that resigned back-up center Marcin Gortat may be seeing a little more playing time. The magic can now keep Dwight Howard rested, out of foul trouble, and contributing offensively at the same time. Seriously, how ridiculous is this shot from Superman? I wish he could hit free throws with as much ease as these circus shots. It has been a busy summer for the budding star, including appearances on some late night shows, a cameo in a movie and vitamin water commercials. This kid is the REAL DEAL. Now if he could only develop a jump shot.....
