Stan Van Gundy thinking about benching Dwight Howard?

After watching this video, I can't help but think that resigned back-up center Marcin Gortat may be seeing a little more playing time. The magic can now keep Dwight Howard rested, out of foul trouble, and contributing offensively at the same time. Seriously, how ridiculous is this shot from Superman? I wish he could hit free throws with as much ease as these circus shots. It has been a busy summer for the budding star, including appearances on some late night shows, a cameo in a movie and vitamin water commercials. This kid is the REAL DEAL. Now if he could only develop a jump shot.....

  1. or any offensive moves at all, nigga has no go to move. He is an amazing defender, but if he isnt slam dunking it, it rarely goes in...i would like to see some footwork. At least develop a baby hook.

The loss of Hedo is goign to be huge, even though we have Vin-sanity now, do we even know if he can play a whole season?

  2. Patrick Ewing has been working with Dwight so hopefully he will be able to develop a consistent hook shot. Howard has shown glimpses of some pretty nice moves during the past year, but nothing he can really rely on.

As for the loss of Hedo, I really think we have a chance to improve. Don't get me wrong Hedo was one of my favorite Magic players and there is no doubt that he can ball, but he was a turnover machine and could go very cold from the field. Hedo was clutch in the 4th quarter, but simply the pricetag was too high for the value. With Vince we are getting a hometown boy, proven scorer, and a player who can create his own shot.
